The Las Vegas desert also has many amazing natural wonders, such as cacti and wildflowers in the desert, which turn into a colorful sea of flowers when there is enough rain in the spring. In addition, the night sky in the desert is particularly bright because it is far away from urban light pollution, making it an ideal place for stargazing enthusiasts.
8. Grand Canyon Skywalk
The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a famous viewing facility located in the West Grand Canyon of Arizona, United States, suspended above the Colorado River on the west rim of the Grand Canyon. Built by the Hualapai Indian Tribe and opened to the public in 2007, the Skywalk is a U-shaped glass bridge that protrudes about 70 feet (21 meters) from the edge of the cliff. The bottom is paved with transparent glass, allowing visitors to directly overlook the canyon bottom and river about 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) below.
The Skywalk offers a unique and breathtaking perspective, allowing visitors to feel the thrill of walking in mid-air while enjoying the magnificent panoramic views of the Grand Canyon. The transparent glass floor and guardrails ensure an excellent view of the scenery, and have also been rigorously safety tested and designed to withstand extreme weight and wind forces.
Tickets are required to visit the Skywalk, and visitors can choose packages that include transportation and guided tours. There are also visitor centers, souvenir shops and dining facilities near the trail to provide convenient services for tourists.
