4) Drach Cave
Located on the east coast of Mallorca, about 50 km from Palma, in the municipality of Porto Cristo, the Drach Caves are one of the most visited natural attractions on the island. The caves are over a kilometre long and are home to one of the largest underground lakes in the world – Lago Martel.
You can take a boat tour of the caves, admire the crystal clear waters, and explore the amazing geological formations formed by water over thousands of years. During the half-day tour, you can also enjoy a short classical concert in this place with special acoustics.
5) Dilsham Cave
A little further on, still in Porto Cristo and 1 km from the Drach Caves, you will find the Caves of Els Hams, a slightly less visited but equally interesting place. These caves were the first to be opened to the public in Spain in 1910 and they were lit at a time when the village of Porto Cristo did not have electricity.
6) Espunta
The Es Pontás natural arch is located in Santanyi, on the east coast of Mallorca. This natural wonder, carved out of limestone and waves, is the result of centuries of nature’s work!
To admire this natural arch, we recommend visiting the Mirador, which is not far from here and offers an excellent panoramic view of Es Pontás and the sea. You can reach this site and the mirage on foot, and on the way you can admire some surprises, such as the work of artist Rolf Shaffner planted among the bushes and pine trees. Alternatively, you can go to the Caló des Macs Natural Bay, in the Cabrera Natural Park. In short, don’t miss this unmissable spot, where you can take many wonderful photos 🙂.
